Tiverton, RI
Tiverton was originally incorporated in 1694 as a part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. In 1746 the town was annexed to Rhode Island along with other towns along the eastern shore of the Narragansett Bay. The town currently is a part of Rhode Island's Newport County.
